Five straight wins for the Mohawks

Cody Kulp (Shippenburg) hit a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to break a scoreless tie with Glens Falls. The Mohawks tacked on three in the eighth for a 5-1 win to supplant the Golden Eagles in first place.

AJ Howard (L 1-0) allowed all five runs and took the loss. Kyle Sumple started the game for Glens Falls and worked five scoreless innings, but Kyle Hunter (Dartmouth) also didn't allow a run in his Mohawks debut.

Taylor Lewis (Maine) threatened to give the Mohawks the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two runners on Lewis lined a ball deep to left center but Keenan Maddox made a sliding catch with his back to the infield to preserve the tie.

Ty Kelly (W 1-0 Auburn) picked up the win in relief on the same night he announced he will sign a professional contract with the LA Angels.

Adam Windsor (Alabama) allowed a solo home run in the to Vinny Mejia in the top of the eighth, but stayed on to pick up the save after a three run rally pushed the lead to 5-1.

WIth their winning streak at five games, the Mohawks will play at home again Friday night against Oneonta at 7:05.
